Following statistics showing that on some routes over 300 emergency calls were put in by drivers in the last year, Bexley CF Chairman and local councillor Matthew Scott said “Tougher action is required to stamp out yobbery on public transport. Whilst we recognise that it is an increasing minority involved in such activity, there needs to be stronger punishment for those who offend”.
We are calling on Transport for London to introduce tougher penalties against those who commit acts of violence against passengers and bus drivers. |
