Name: Ilsa Kaye on Dec 26, 2007Comments: thanks so much for doing this, ideas: audit lipa if they think they cant afford to bury the lines! watermill went down in real estate last year, the lines will kill our property values contact the american cancer society to show that long island has the highest cancer rates in the country, get some breast cancer survivors to speak out about increased exposure! start a coalition amongst the heads of real estate companies out here to join with us, the eyesoar of towers along the watermill hills is sickening. this is 1950's corporate style greed, not enlightened green suburban/rural planning! feel free to contact me! i am outraged ilsa kaye, watermill resident and long time east ender!Flag

Name: Ilsa Kaye on Dec 29, 2007Comments: i dont think its the responsibility of tax payers to pay for lipa to bury their lines, they can write off capital improvements off their taxes! I would be willing to make a donation to stop this from happening. I do not believe that its the consumers responsibility to pay for capital improvements. Furthermore, it is not a capital improvement for the village of watermill or southampton, it is a capital improvement for EASTHAMPTON, who seems to have the power problem. The tension wires are dangerous, ugly and will effect our views and property values, so how is this paultry solution a capital improvement to residents of watermill and southampton. Furthermore, people come to the hamptons for the scenic beautry and old world charm, not to see huge huge power lines. Has anyone bothered to read the electric magnetic radio wave pollution this stuff throws off Energy is costly enough, what about wind farms or investing in a hybrid solutiuon, build a station in east hampton and put up tension lines their and see what the residents of east hampton do This is all ridiculous and lazy on the part of LIPA. If they had a home in the proposed area, they would not let it happen.Flag
