Comments: In this world of modern communication it is over harsh to exclude Bury for not obtaining written permission when Hartlepool had confirmed their agreement to Turnbull playing in the replay. Plus Bury admitted the error. At least show some compassion

Comments: Morally everything was done. Administratively, there may have been an error. Which is more important Bury are a fantastic club and their game agains us (weymouth) was a great ad for the competition. Are administrators going to spoil that for the sake of a bit of A4

Comments: This is a completely inappropriate and inconsistent penalty against a small club who don't have the clout of the larger clubs. It's absolutely disgusting. I reaching a point where I believe that it would be better if smaller clubs all pulled out of the FA altogether and censured themselves.

Comments: Double standards.. one rule for the rich and another fot the poor. The FA is charged with making the game fair. for all and it clearly is not. When fans see such double standards it is no wonder they are voting with there feet. Does anyone inside the FA care

Comments: Hello, i'm from Swansea and we've got Sheff Utd. In next round i'd be gutted if that happened to my team and facing Ipswich is a glamour tie for a League 2 side and if the club gave permission for him to play, there's nout wrong with that. Best Wishes and good luck for the future, Alex (property of SCFC)

Comments: having been a supporter for around 20 years of Bury Fc i find the decision to remove my beloved club from the fa cup 3rd round as a travesty. yes , of course rules have been breached but why o why should they be punished this harshly for owning up to it!! does honesty not count for anything these days. The FA and the football league are trying to clean up the sport we all love with a passion. Footballers in the FA premier league can dive, fall over and generally cheat but does anything as dramatic as this happen,no it does not. Are Bury FC not quite a big enough club to get away with such an oversite. I am English and as such i have been brought up to be honest and treat others as i would like to be treated myself. With this in mind please reconsider your decision and at the very least give us a chance of a replayed match with Chester City. Consistency Honesty, Integrity,, Plenty of people care about Bury FC. Have a heart ... please. thanks for taking the time to read this heartfelt plea!! Jon

Comments: Without doubt Bury FC have picked on because they're a so called 'smaller club'. Why do the FA appear to support 'bigger clubs' and disregard the roots of English football I stopped watching the FA Premiership many years ago now. I will now stop watching the FA Cup until Bury are reinstated or until the authorities start showing more consistency in their punishments. Football has become a joke in this country. Comments: This is an unfair decision. Surely the punishement is disproportionate to the offence and thus against the ECJ principle of proportionality. There are mitigating circumstances and a more lenient punishment is both fair and reasonable.

Comments: Here's another example of FA cowardice. RULES OF THE FA CUP COMPETITION 15 PROVISIONS CONCERNING PLAYERS (a) Each team participating in a match shall represent the full available strength of each competing club. JANUARY 3, 2006 MANCHESTER UNITED v ARSENAL (FA Premier League) Van Der Sar, Neville, Ferdinand, Brown, Silvestre, Ronaldo, Fletcher, O'Shea, Giggs, Rooney, Van Nistelrooy. JANUARY 8, 2006 MANCHESTER UNITED v BURTON (FA Cup Round Three) Howard, Brown, Pique, Silvestre, Bardsley, O'Shea, Jones, Richardson, Solskjaer, Saha, Rossi. A clear breach of rule 15(a) unless the club present the FA with medical documentation to say that the other seven players were unfit.

Comments: I feel that this action is inconsistent when compared to such as that applied to such bigger clubs as Leeds United. The honesty of Bury should be congratulated and not punished. As a supporter of Preston North End my comments are independent to the teams concerned. This decision is totally unaceptable and should be reversed immediately for the sake of our great game.

Comments: The Football Association are a sick joke and are unfit to run our national game. How, when Bury FC came to them to admit an honest mistake, could they slap them down with the heaviest penalty Bullies are also cowards... Here's an example of FA cowardice. RULES OF THE FA CUP COMPETITION 15 PROVISIONS CONCERNING PLAYERS (a) Each team participating in a match shall represent the full available strength of each competing club.
