Name: Andy Warren on Dec 20, 2006Comments: Have already sent an email in protest to the FA. Read the piece above and as a Leeds fan, completely agree with the injustice of the penalty. My hometown team Weymouth were knocked out of the FA Cup FAIRLY by Bury, great club, great fans, great big admin error, ludicrous penalty for trusting another club or making an admin error. Reinstate them, or at the least order a replay with Chester, how hollow their passage into Round 3 must be and how embarrassed must the FA feel about coming down on the little boys again without having the balls to keep the big one's in check. FA sort it out Andy Warren Weymouth and Leeds.Flag

Name: Chris Geddes on Dec 20, 2006Comments: The FA should see sense and re-instate Bury into the 3rd Round of the FA Cup. They have earned their place on merit and had a verbal agreement with Hartlepool to play Turnbull.Flag

Name: MTFC on Dec 20, 2006Comments: A very harsh decision! I have just read Chris Caspers comments and since this was actually an honest mistake that BURY ACTUALLY INFORMED THE FA about I feel a re-play or a fine would have sufficed. Once again the FA have proved themselves out to be the utter fools that we all know they are. Good luck with the appeal. I feel you'll need it against the heartless morons at the FA!Flag

Name: David Jones on Dec 20, 2006Comments: This issue is just not about Bury, its about the FA making the rules up on the hoof and clearly disregarding smaller clubs in favour of the money men. The FA's credability gets worse and worse, you tap up Portugal's manager (before the world cup) and then deny it - a joke.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Dec 20, 2006Comments: I know it isn't Chesters fault, but maybe a stand by them might help promote some common sense in all this, they would probably agree they lost fair and square, maybe they could earn some serious respect and refuse to play They'd become heroes overnight and would in the long-run gain more than half the profits from one game! We all took DiCanio to our hearts for an act of true sportsmanship, Chester City seize your opportunity.Flag

Name: Paul Arthur Adams on Dec 20, 2006Comments: I wish to express my deep disatisfaction at the outcome of this disciplinary. Bury Football Club admitted a genuine mistake had been made. In no way were the club trying to influence the game by fielding a ringer. The said player was already at the club and verbal permission had been received for him to play by his host club. This is a kick in the teeth for the club who have recently fought back from the jaws of extinction. Chester themselves admitted that the best side won on the night. All we ask is fairness and courage to see justice is done at the appeal. Merry yuletide.Flag
