Having the option of satellite services in your home should come with ease. However, when renting a condo, apartment, etc., I believe as long as you are not violating the lease as to where the placement is located it shouldn't be a problem. Many apartment complexes like (Greens of Concord) is violating the lease agreement as to where they are forcing tenants to move their satellite dishes and foot the bill for this. Of course they are paying to get these removed if tenants do not obliged. My thing is if management can pay to get these satellites removed, then management can pay to get them reinstalled to the location they prefer. This cost shouldn't be on the tenant, especially if there is no violation per lease agreement. This petition will be mailed to the FCC on May 10,2013.
