Name: Neil Rhodes on Jun 7, 2009Comments: We need more houses to rent in Leeds for reasonable rent.. Leeeds has a long history of providing good public housing. It is needed now as house prices are too high for many people and the rented sector becomes smaller with poor quality housing. The council has a duty to meet that need.Flag

Name: Eric Parnaby on Apr 3, 2010Comments: The lack of Affordable Housing for people on low incomes is Forcing Them to coerce their friends and family into accommodating them in homes which are already uncomfortably small for their legitimate occupants. The domestic stress which this creates produces a negative effect on both mental and physical health. 25000 people on the waiting list and At Least 25000 more who are being overstressed by this domino effect must obviously have enormous repercussions. Extra work-loads are being produced for Social Services, Health Services, The Education System, The Police and The Courts. Our City Councillors Need to Understand that; ( in this time of tight budgets ) " It is cheaper in the long run to build affordable housing, than it is to sort out the mess which the lack of it is creating."Flag
