Stop the Buffets

We the undersigned request that Sacred Heart return Chartwells to the manner in which it previously operated. The current buffet requirement is unfair to students and promotes unhealthy choices. In previous years the Mahogany room was a common place to study and get work done while spending time with friends. Now you cannot enter the Mahogany room without spending nine dollars. The old plan also allowed students who were on a limited budget to purchase smaller meals that are healthy. Not all students can afford nine dollars on a daily basis for dinner. We respectfully request the consideration of this petition.

4 years ago Comments: Not only does this promote unhealthy eating it is extremely inconvenient to athletes and other busy students who have a tight schedule and often times are running from practice to class or from meetings to class. We can longer grab dinner to go. Which goes against what most of the workers say, that the new manner of the dinning hall is for the athletes. This claim is completely ridiculous.
