Name: Deborah Pilling on Feb 11, 2013Comments: I have been travelling by Train for over 10 years and the conditions have gone from bad to completely intolerable. I get to work stressed out from the daily pleading to passengers to move up so that we can get on the train and end up with returned abuse because there is no where for them to move to. With trains one being every 30 mins in rush hour on the Blackburn line you just have to push and force your way on. I have to change trains at Salford Crescent and then often find I have missed my connecting train because my incomming train is consistently late cannot get on the conecting train because it is too overcrowded. Its time something was done to improve local trains.Flag

Name: Susan Ford on Feb 18, 2013Comments: Everything about the Northern trains franchise is poor - overcrowding, condition of carriages, cleanliness and customer service. Last week the guard apologised for lateness - blaming passengers getting on the train too slowly. They were. The reason - the train was packed!Flag

Name: Natalie Gregory on Feb 18, 2013Comments: The overcrowding on the Clitheroe/Blackburn to Manchester Victoria line is beyond ridiculous. I board the train at Bromley Cross & some mornings I am lucky to get on the train & when I do manage to get on the train it is virtually impossible to get a seat. Also the punctuality of the train needs to be addressed as I get on the 8.23am train every weekday morning & the majority of the time it is late.Flag

Name: Sean Owens on Feb 18, 2013Comments: I travel from Bromley Cross to Manchester Victoria daily (7.22AM and 5.23PM) I find the service to be very poor and often struggle to get a seat despite Bromley Cross being only the 4th stop from Clitheroe. The frustration of passengers on the train is evident. Please can this be looked into as the number of carriages (2) being made available is shocking.Flag

Name: Ben Thomson on Feb 18, 2013Comments: Hello. I fully support this petition. As a regular commuter on the line, I do feel it would benefit from more capacity, new carriages and additional services. There is certainly enough passengers. I commuted when I was working in the South East, and the difference between the rolling stock and services is shocking. I am a huge supporter of public transport and commute daily from Clitheroe to Salford Crescent - and I believe that Northern Rail does want to serve passengers well. On the whole, the staff are friendly and do a good job. However, I do also believe more has to be done to stop "ticket dodging" ... more safeguards could/should be introduced to ensure all passengers pay fairly for the trips they make. Regards BenFlag

Name: Grace Hughes-Sinclair on Feb 18, 2013Comments: As a regular commuter on the Clitheroe line I can't even tell you how incredibly frustrating it is when 4 carriages just about gives everyone a seat, then at 08:50, after your first train has been cancelled and this one is late you see a train with only TWO carriages roll up. The amount of times that we have had to shove our way on to the train or cling on to someone whilst waiting for the door to shut is utterly ridiculous. Any disabled passengers or elderly passengers would have a very hard time. It's about time somebody did something like this, well done you! Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help as I would love to!Flag
