My fellow citizens. It is high time that the politicians in D.C. hear our voices. We are tired of all sides using special interests in a non stop battle where nothing gets done. I am putting this petition forward to try and address the issue of the federal government not doing its job. Just to name a few. Immigration, which the federal government does nothing about ( for votes ) but condemns states rights of protecting themselves. Social security, being paid in to by citizens for whom have worked all their lives paying in so that they can retire one day and have a safety net. Remember, THEY paid in, and not the government. But when states try to protect their citizens on this issue, the federal government condemns them for it. Now I could see this if the government was doing its job, but they are not. We need to remove special interest groups away from D.C. and make it a FEDERAL CRIME if any politician takes anything from a penny on up from any of these groups. It is high time that we as lawful citizens of this country stop dividing ourselves between race, religion, party affiliation, sexual orientation, etc, etc, and hold these truths to be self evident that all people are created equal. We have divided ourselves and the government in winning on that basis. Help yourselves, help bring back honor to D.C., help your future generations.
