Name: Anonymous on Mar 15, 2007Comments: Here in the UK, if there is anything that is unfair, most of the time, we lay down and accept it. If we were in the United States, we would be protesting like mad, and the people wouldn't stand for it. If we did what they did, the Government wouldn't get away with murder, like they do now. Just look at what the Government are proposing for us for the next Census in 2010. This is a GROSS invasion of our Privacy. Not only have we got to fill in the Census Form by Law, but on top of that, they want additional personal and private information, which has already been covered by other legal means, ie Customs & Excise/Income Tax enquiries into our personal and financial state. YOU NEED TO LOOK INTO THIS AND ADDRESS THIS NOW, BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE. Regards Bernard Harris PS Please keep my name anonymous at all times.Flag

Name: Paul T on Mar 17, 2007Comments: This is an absolute disgrace! We pay a regular amount each month to ensure our bills are covered when they arrive each quarter. We want to control how much we pay each month and not be dictated to by BT. I am now looking to switch companies.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Mar 22, 2007Comments: I work in a rural Post Office, which may well be under threat of closure because of the proposed network restructuring. Many of my customers are paying their BT bills through the Post Office in order to increase business and attempt to keep it running. However, this latest BT idea would drastically cut business to Post Offices who rely on this to stay open. Many of my elderly customers prefer to pay by cheque as they do not trust banks - and who can blame them with the current charges fiasco - and some struggle to budget for bills as it is and prefer to pay by cash. Many buy Post Office savings stamps to save for bills or pay weekly with cash on a BT savings card. Are BT to penalise the poor for being poor I pay my own bill at my Post Office because to do otherwise would be hypocritical - it is a small bill that changes each month so I pay it as it comes in and use direct debit card. Why should I need to change to a direct debit method when the existing arrangement suits me perfectly and still gets their payment to them fast. If BT insists on charging this way, my job is at risk as my Post Office turnover will reduce dramatically. I am now wondering whether to give every customer who comes into my Post Office a leaflet on the PO Home Phone service and tell them to carry on paying through us and not give BT any more money than they are entitled to. I will be signing up asap. I also hear that anyone trying to get out of BT will be asked for a get out fee. As BT have the monopoly on landlines, I find the whole set up absolutely appaling.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Apr 3, 2007Comments: i object to bt forcing me to pay my phone bill by direct debit or penalising me for not doing so. bt customers are ripped off enough already by a totally inadequate service. profits made by bt should be used to drastically improve services (the pathetic broadband service being a classic example), not just passed to shareholders. why should they be able to take whatever amount they like from my bank account and deny me of interest on my money too many companies do this already and what a struggle it is to get back any over-payments taken! by all means reward people who want to pay by DD but don't penalise those of us that don't want to. our money is just as good however it is paid!Flag
