| 153 | Anonymous | I totally oppose the proposed development of the site at Bryncoch. |
| 154 | Roy Budd | Wildlife sites like this are too precious to lose. Give it the protection it deserves, which you and your council have been entrusted with. |
| 155 | Andrew Williams | Living at Fernlea park I will be significantly affected by this propose developement and the traffic it will bring. I moved here 4 years ago and was attracted by the close proximity of greenbelt land. I am appalled by th thought of this greenbelt disappearing more than it has done so already. |

| 159 | James Williams | In the history of science Alfred Russel Wallace is much ignored. Neath was the starting point of Wallace's training and future as one of the most influential naturalists on the 19th and early 20th century. Bryncoch farm, and more importantly the surrounding countryside was his training ground. Apart from the very valid and important argument of stopping the destruction of habitats the preservation of the wildlife, this is an historic site. The site, information about Wallace' s life in Neath and the wildlife should be preserved and celebrated |

| 164 | Lachlan and Annaliesse Dengate | For the future generations we need to show the vision to preserve areas of ecological and historical significance. |
| 165 | Ken Jones | We need to keep and look after these important,
historical sites. Once built on they will be lost forever. |
| 166 | Danny Little | I cannot believe that we are thinking of raping our land any more than we already have. There comes a point when one just wonders to himself what this council is trying to achieve. Bryncoch has gone from a small rural village to an ungly, poorly planned building development. No longer are there clear divides between Caewern, Waunceirch, Brookfield and Bryncoch but rather an orgy of idiocy. Firemans hill between Bryncoch and Dyffryn is far too busy for a road which was made for Horse and Cart. I put it to you that if more houses are to be forced upon the people of Bryncoch and it's fellow villages we will fast be apporaching a state of gridlock. I will not stand for this! |
| 167 | Ronald Bryn JOHN | Everybody has heard of Charles Darwin & the work of AR Wallace should be recognised, particularly in Wales. Building a housing estate on this land would dishonour his name. |
| 168 | Rosemary John | The original argumet to stop the developmet in the Rhyddings due to the volume of traffic on Pen y Wern road is equally valid for this proposed development. |

| 182 | lynn matthews | i lived in bryncch for 50 years but went into care homes 5 years ago.i have seen my village dessimted by building in that time & no improvments to infrastructure like sewrers & roads |
| 183 | Bethan Mulligan | Please save this land for us to enjoy as a nature reserve now and in the future. |
| 184 | Anonymous | it is wrong to build more houses in an already overcrowded area. Children of the future need to be able to see fields and wild life |

| 189 | Craig Osborne | I oppose this development. I left Neath for University 11 years ago and on my regular return visits I have noticed a huge increase in congestion since the construction of other housing sites. The addition of hundreds more houses will push the levels of traffic to an intolerable level. The road systems simply can't handle it in this area.
Neath will become a very unpleasant place to travel and any tourist attractions that are left will suffer.
I have always hoped to return one day to the land of my fathers - but these houses are eating up the landscape and before long I don't think there will be much to come back to! Stop now before it's too late! |

| 191 | robert king | I, too, believe that the site is of historical importance.
Alfred Russell Walace became interested in flora and fauna; wildlife and the way the various specis interacted with each other. His theory of evolution was more detailed than Darwin's. Darwin had the fame because he published first. He lodged at Bryncoch Farm whilst working in Neath. His legacy we can arguable claim is Neath's. Would English Heritage allow a site famed by Darwin to be occupied by houses. I think not. Keep fighting Neath Port Talbot CBC's proposal. |
| 192 | Sam Davies | I think it's such a shame that Local Authorities are so short sighted when making such important (& irreversible) decisions. Money seems to be the deciding factor to often these days and common sense and practicality goes out of the window at the right price. I was under the impression that we lived in a democracy whereby LA's had a duty to take in to account the feelings of local people and consider what it is that they want? It doesn't seem to me that this is what the people around Bryncoch want, so why is no-one listening? |
