alan hubbuck | I urge Neath Port Talbot Council to respect its own policies in terms Green Wedge and local biodiversity and remove this parcel of land from the UDP. The site would far better serve the people of Neath Port Talbot as a nature reserve to memory of the great victorian naturalist Alfred Russell Wallace who I'm sure would be horrified at the prospect of the ancient species rich meadows being turned over to modern housing and lost for future generations.
George Gate | I strongly support this petition.

Anonymous | Obviously people need houses but why is it that builders want to build on areas that shouldn't be built on!!

gareth mulligan | As a local resident I fully support this petition. The site is of national importance and must be preserved for all future generations to enjoy, not lost forevever under a mass housing development
Jan Griffiths | This is an opportunity for Neath Port Talbot to recognise Alfred Russel Wallace as a person who started his important contribution to Ecology and History from his time in Bryncoch.

Roger Melly | We visit the Dyffryn Arms and neighbourhood regularly. The field that it is proposed should be built on is an interisting open space. Housing would inevitably mar many of the views particularly as the high ground would mean that the houses dominate the area.
Anonymous | I am concerned for the wildlife, increased traffic and for the welfare of the village and country side.
James M. Scott | People needs green spaces as well as wildlife. It would be a great idea to Alfred Russel Wallace’s memory to have this as a Nature Reserve due to its significance both ecologically and Historically.

| 33 | Antony Wallis | Development in NPT should be focused on Valleys communities which are in need of regeneration and which need to stem the tide of outward migration. Whilst Bryncoch Farm may satisfy NPT requirements to reduce overall numbers in the Borough, it should not be targeted to areas where there is already a glut of new housing and where there is not a regeneration issue. Outward migration from Valleys communities will also impact on services such as public teransport and education.
The development would exacerbate a serious bottleneck on PenyWern Hill.
The development would eat into the green wedge between Neath and Pontardawe. |

Liz Beal | What a beautiful area of countryside. This area should be preserved for the diverse wildlife found there and building should take place on brownfield site instead. Too much of the UKs beautful countryside is being swallowed up with no consideration for the future.
Diana Hilliard | It would be a tragedy if this happened to yet another area of outstanding beauty. It is happening all over the country and this decision should be overturned.

Anonymous | We must keep the countryside for future generations to enjoy and not just become a concrete jungle.

Amanda Burton | Having lived in this beautiful area I can not possibly see what benefit these extra houses can bring to the community which at present is stretched to capacity. Please do not destroy the natural green wedge of the area and make the roads more dangerous for the children and elderly of the area. Preserve what natural resources we have for the future generations or there will be nothing left. Bryncoch is a natural beauty spot its destruction needs to be vigiriously opposed.
Anonymous | This land is already designated green belt and should be left alone.
Robin Mair | yet anothe invasion of the countryside for financial gain to a few already extremely affluent people. This would cause inordinate conservation and ecological losses.

Nathan Mainwaring | I grew up in Bryncoch and left in 1998 for university. I return to Neath regularly and at 27 years old I can already stand in my home village and say to kids "I remember when all this was just fields". The farmlands and greenery that mark a defining characteristic of Neath are vanishing and the pace is alarming. I am a realist about such things but surely we should preserve what can be spared.
