Brown Clay -- Start a Pottery Studio at Brown!!

We are seeking to create a recreational pottery and ceramic art studio here at our beloved Brown University. Open to all students and to the public, the goal of this studio is to increase access to creative outlets and expression for both the Brown student body, fellow college students, and the general Providence Community. Instructional classes will be offered by students and local artists. This studio would be open to everyone -- art concentrators and physics concentrators alike. And we\'ll thrive on the participation of beginners! We aim to start as a small studio and expand over time into a full-blown, fully-equipped craft center with a variety of different art studios for all kinds of creative expression. You name it, we\'ll want to eventually have it! This will be a studio of and for the student body and community. If you feel like you would be interested in having a pottery studio at Brown, please sign up! This is by no means a commitment to help get the studio started -- only an expression of any interest at all l in learning or practicing clay at some point in your Brown career!! The more people that sign up, the more influence we can have. And the more likely it is we can get this started, as well as expand it to include other disciplines. ***When signing the petition, please include your Brown Student ID number!!!*** Please submit any questions or comments whatsoever, or an interest in being directly involved, to rachel_mckenna@brown.edu Thank you!!! Rachel and Crew ***Please only join this group if you are a current Brown student, not an alum, so we can accurately reflect the interest of the current active student body***
