We the undersigned hereby affirm, Brookville School District of Pennsylvania, has decided that they are to cut the bus routes down, there for making our children walk or be taken to school, or dropped off at local day cares. As for many of us in this town, we live in the country. Where there are wild animals, strangers whom drive down our streets, and worst of all the potential that our children could be picked up and we would never see them again. As of right now Brookville stands that its elementary students can walk 1.5 miles to a bus stop and 1.7 miles for our high school students. To me this is unacceptable. It is our jobs as parents to protect our children, and to those of us who work the morning shifts, our children have to walk alone, or we have to pay for daycare. So I ask now that you sign this petition with me, to have them change these bus routes so that children are picked up at home, possibly instill an age limit of how old until that child is able to walk safely to the bus routes. I only ask of these out of concern, do you want your child walking these streets alone? I don't want to wait until something happens to a child in this town, I want to be able to stop it before it gets that far.
