Whereas: We the undersigned citizens of several townships in Monroe County as well those residing outside this area, have found the intersection of Route 611 and Brookdale Road in Scotrun, PA to be extremely dangerous. In response to the numerous accidents at this location, we believe a traffic light should be installed here. Whereas: The notoriety of this intersection needs to end. The most recent accident that occurred at this intersection was on Friday, November 3, 2006. The clear and present danger represented by this intersection has been noted by residents and visitors to the area. To alleviate the concern and the dangers to the involved parties, a traffic light must be installed at this location immediately.
