An obscure law could stymie the Broncos hopes of a home final this year.

When Lang Park was re-developed the government put a cap on the number of big games and concerts that could be held. At the time nobody predicted the Broncos would regularly get more than 25,000 people to a home game.

This year seven Broncos games, two State of Origins, Eight super Rugby games, two soccer games have already broken the 25,000 crowd mark. There’s three NRL games scheduled to play this season, and a Bledisloe Cup game. We’re literally the victims of our own success on the footy field – and if we’re not careful the Broncs could be stuck without a ground to play on.

The Broncos have a real chance of a top 4 finish and a home final. What a great way to send Locky off into retirement.

Imagine if the Broncos secure a home final and have to play it in Sydney. Or can only sell 25,000 tickets?

We want the government to change the rules and remove the cap.
