In march of 97, Cartoon Network began airing a block of cartoons. This block became known as Toonami. It ran Monday to Thursday, and played Thundercats, Robotech, and some old Hanna Barbera cartoons, introduced by Moltar. Eventually, the block of cartoons was changed, but the name stayed the same. Then, one day, a little show named Dragon Ball Z began airing, taking the place of Robotech. So Toonami began to take shape and form, eventually bringing us weekly, \"the best action cartoons on the planet\". Currently, Toonami is airing only on Saturdays, and, while the shows are slightly amusing, they are not as enjoyable as the ones in the memories of childhood. The week just isnt the same without good old Toonami faithful. Therefore, I start this petition, with the classic Toonami of my elementary school days in mind. Toonami should be brought back on the weekdays, Mondays to Thursdays, 4 to 7 pm. The classic shows of Reboot, the Dragonball saga, a good old classic known as Tenchi Muyo, Ruroni Kenshin, Yu Yu Hakusho (which I think was a big mistake for Toonami to take it off the air), and the infamous Gundam Wing. All of these shows are Toonami classics I believe that Toonami fans young and old will enjoy.
