Fellow LHS alumni. I was horrified to find out that our former video production teacher, Timothy Mason, was stripped of his position as video production teacher. This sickens me for two reasons. First of all, Mr. Mason inspired me in a way few other teachers have ever done. Because of Mr. Mason and his excitement for the topic, I became deeply involved in filmmaking and am now studying film production at the University of Southern California Cinematic Arts School. Without Mr. Mason I may never have become so excited about the topic and never found myself in such an amazing place. My second reason for being so upset is that Mr. Mason was replaced by Clare Beach. This is alarming to me because of the shocking lack of knowledge that both my older brother and younger sister received from having Mrs. Beach as their video production teacher at Meadowdale High School. I am terrified for the current and future students of Lynnwood High School and fear that they won't receive the same quality of education that took me so far. Please sign the petition to bring Mr. Mason back to Lynnwood High School. -Drew Griffin
