Comments: I for one grew up in the 80's watching great horror films on programs such as Saturday Nightmares and late night creature features. PLEASE bring back the quality horror shows we all know and love.

Comments: The BBC has an aversion to showing anything black-and-white, even its own archive programme. This fear is something which should be overcome.

Comments: A major part of my early film education, catching the classic horror film seasons on the BBC. There was a great season (BBC2 I think) which showed some absolute classics double-billed with a modern film. This was where I first caught Nosferatu, Vampyr, Freaks. Please bring back the classics.

Comments: Would love to see the old classics back. Today's youth will have no appreciation of older material if it's not regularly screened. I have very fond memories of Alex Cox's Moviedrome series too.

Comments: I certainly would like to see the return of classic horror screenings on the BBC, particularly British horror - Hammer, Amicus, etc. I also miss the Moviedrome series that ran on BBC2 with Alex Cox as one of the presenters.

Comments: Millions of younger people or missing out on the joys of classic horror by failing to accidentally catch a classic film as many a teenager did in the past, and thus discovering a lifelong passion for these films. Instead they are being fed remake after remake of 80s stuff when the original was better and the stuff before that was better still. Bring Classic Horror back to network TV!!!

Comments: the time is right to bring back classic horror to our screens... it would be great to see it brought back and played with the sense of theatricality and fun that there used to be with the presentation of genre movies. Remember when you had alex cox introducing cult movies. let's have Chris Smith or Ti West presents, let's make emily booth the new elvira. It would be far, far better than the turgid dross that graces our screens on a saturday night at the moment...
