I could be a naughty boy at the beginning of the week, but by Thursday I'd have to keep my nose clean or risk the punishment of only being allowed to watch the first oneFlag

Name: Maxwell Dean on Dec 23, 2012Comments: I would love for classic horror top come back. The rare occasions that the BBC or any other channel puts horror in their schedule its the same dire ones they put on again and again and again and again or rare good ones which I am fed up with seeing. I cant count how may times C4 have played 28 Days Later for example. Good film but I dont need to watch it for the 100th time!. Bring back classic horror BBC!.Flag

Name: Peter66 on Dec 28, 2012Comments: I (and many of my friends) always looked forward to the Horror Double Bill shown during the summer months from the mid 1970s to the early 80s. Then shortly after, Channel 4 picked up on the lead and showed what seemed like every vintage horror film they could lay their hands on! Wonderful! I still cherish the memory of seeing my first ever horror film (Son of Frankenstein) on a saturday night in 1977. In those pre-video days, you had to grab your chance whenever these films were screened. You never knew when they would get shown again. My biggest problem then, was trying to persuade my mum to allow me to stay up to watch them! I'd relish the chance to watch the old vintage chillers on BBC2 again - even silent ones such as Phantom of the Opera (1925) or The Cat And The Canary (1927).Flag

Comments: my childhood was populated with creatures, places and people from these classic films and as a father I want my children to share the excitment and amazment I experianced......rather than get their horror kicks in a far grizzlier form in computer games, on the street or on the web.Flag -
