The Classic Horror Campaign
was set up to persuade the BBC to bring back their iconic Saturday night
classic horror double bills which were so popular on television in the
seventies and early eighties. We host a regular series of classic horror double
bill screenings in London at the Roxy Bar & Screen and organised the hugely
successful Frighten Brighton Classic Horror Film Festival in the south coast
city of Brighton in 2012. We aim to continue celebrating cult films and
bringing classic horror to the masses!Now 1000's of classic film fans across the UK and supporters around the world are signing our petition to bring back BBC2's Saturday night horror double bills. The campaign has also featured on BBC Television's Points of View show and in the following best-selling magazines - SFX, Rue Morgue, Shadowland, Scream the Horror Magazine and Shock Horror Magazine as well as on local radio and newspapers. Today the Classic Horror Campaign puts a call out to all horror film fans across the world! We are trying to persuade the BBC in the UK to bring back their iconic seasons of Friday and Saturday night T.V. horror double bills which thrilled more than one generation of monster movie fans through the seventies, the early eighties and then again in the nineties (this time hosted by Dr Terror)!Our double challenge is to bring back classic horror double bills on free-to-air network television and to introduce these fangtastic films to a whole new generation of monster kids!We are asking you ALL to sign our petition and spread the word amongst horror fans everywhere!
