Name: Janine Burke on May 10, 2010Comments: Dr. Biter delivered my first son, and supported my decision to have a VBAC for my second son. Dr. Biter has helped many women have the births that they desire. Please don't take this privilege from the many women who want Dr. Biter to deliver their babies.Flag

Dr. Biter is the best and it's sad to think that someone who is so good at their job is penalized for doing what is best for mother and baby. Please bring him back we moms need Dr. Biter and love him.Flag

Name: Carol Yeh-Garner on May 10, 2010Comments: Suspending Dr. Biter's OB privileges without good cause is a travesty! Scripps Encinitas is abandoning dozens of women ready to give birth! How is that mother-baby friendly? How is that possible from the hospital that touts itself as the most natural-birth supportive hospital in town? You have shown the community that you do not support women's rights to choose who they want to birth with and where they want to birth. Women will now choose elsewhere to birth their babies until you reinstate Dr. Biter.Flag

Name: Lauren Hodges on May 10, 2010Comments: I had an amazing, beautiful, empowering birth with Dr. Biter at Scripps Encinitas just two weeks ago. It's so sad to think that other women will miss out on this transformative experience because of hospital politics. Please reinstate Dr. Biter's privileges and help the San Diego area women experience the power of birth the way it should be!Flag

Name: Jennifer Sinopoli on May 10, 2010Comments: Dr Biter delivered our son 3 months ago and we couldn't have imagined our birth without him there. We ended up with a c-section and he guided and supported us through the whole process, like a member of our own family. He is a wonderful dr and person and the birthing community here in Encinitas will not be the same without him. He must be brought back asap!!!Flag

Name: Katherine Nagel on May 10, 2010Comments: Bring back Biter! This is about the right of a woman to the labor and delivery of her choosing. Dr. Rob Biter understands this more than any other doctor I have ever met. You now have suspended women from having the kind of delivery of her choice and with HER DOCTOR! This is supposed to be your utmost concern and to support those in the medical profession that strive to make this a reality. Take note of all of these women and men that are standing up for Dr. Biter. Let that speak for itself.Flag

Name: Loree Hawkins-Arbaugh on May 10, 2010Comments: It would seem that a doctor that actually takes into account his patients' needs and wants would be an asset to a hospital as opposed to the many doctors out there that leave their patients disappointed and feeling powerless with their own outcomes. I have never used Dr. Biter and do not know him personally, but have recommended him to several of my friends based on his reputation for advocating for the patient and following natural birth practices. My first experience with my OBGYN and my first pregnancy resulted in my doctor trying to force an induction. I protested and hired a doula. The result was a unmedicated natural birth without induction (my doctor only arrived in the last 15 minutes after the baby was already crowning!). After reading about Dr. Biter and having a friend use him for her pregnancy, I felt I would use Dr. Biter should I become pregnant again. This decision is based on Dr. Biter's reputation, but also the fact the Scripps Encinitas has a birthing center. I didn't want to travel all the way down to San Diego to the UCSD birthing center. Dr. Biter should be reinstated as a doctor that is both good for the hospital and the patient.Flag
