   Comments: I played field hockey at UMBC during the 2003 season. It changed my life...it was amazing to be a part of that team. While I was on that team, I became aware of the fact that the field hockey team was only granted three scholarships for 24 girls to share. How can the team hope to attract any players with no aid to offer them The field hockey team was grossly underfunded and had little support from the administration.

    Comments: UMBC FH has done so much for me and the playing level for myself and other teams which my high school team played. If they are cut, who will be there to reach out and keep the hockey skills growing!!

    Comments: Field hockey is a rarity among American sports, but it is a great sport nontheless. I'm sure your calculations are supportive of this decision, but please further consider what you are loosing by deleting field hockey from UMBC

    Comments: How do you bring in a new coach and buy new uniforms and drop the program. You can't tell me that dropping this one program will give you the money that you need Give the athletes the opportunity to do what you sent coaches to recruit them to do. LET THEM PLAY BALL!
