Bring the Suzuki Sidekick back to North America.

The petition

We are hereby requesting that Suzuki bring the Sidekick platform back to North America (USA and Canada). There is not enough praise that can be given to the heroic little truck.

-1.6l 16v 4 cylinder engine = 8.5l/100km fuel economy (27.6MPG) in mixed highway/city driving. Find another SUV that can do that.

-Convertible platform is fun to drive in the summer.

-Legendary 4x4 offroad and snow capabilities.

-Evidence that the study about how easy they were to roll was staged by one of the Consumer's Report's directors at the time who also happened to own a large portion of FORD motor company. I will post a video as soon as I obtain permission from the PR firm that produced it.
