Hello My name is Ryan Halliday,I was a Fog Devils fan for the three years they were here.Like many of the fans I was devestated by the move to Montreal.It left a bitter taste in my mouth.I loved the QMJHL and still does often refeshing the Q page for pre-season results. The Fog Devils left St.John's for a number of reason's the big one was a horrible lease agreement with mile one centre.Another was complete ingorance from some of the fans.Many people treated the Fog Devils like second hand garbage calling it "high school hockey".Mnay people use lame excuses not to see game's such as parking,ticket pricing.My question to them is howcome there is no parking when there was a Fog Devils game but plenty when theres a herder game The biggest key is we need an owner who know's junior hockey.Someone who has been around the game long enough and can educate the fans and show the people its not "high school hockey"Some of the game greatest players graduated from the QMJHL guys like Sidney Crosby,Patrick Roy,Mike Bossey,Kevin Lowe,Martin Brodeur,Vincent Lecavalier,Brad Richards.Heck Ilya Kovalchuk was drafted by QMJHL team. Local stars such as Michael Ryder and Ryane Clowe.Future stars such Luke Adam and Brandon Hynes. The AHL is trying to make a comeback here but its not going to work were too isolated from the rest of the league.The QMJHL however has teams in Halifax,Charlottetown,Moncton and even in small towns such as Bathurst and Baie comeau if they can all make it work why not here
