Name: Alyn Nash on Nov 11, 2007Comments: Jumps and big air are a huge part of snowboarding / skiing, removing them from the terrain parks will only mean that riders will find jumps in less controlled / patrolled environments. It is the responsibility and decision of the rider as to what features they wish to ride on, it should not be dictated by any organisation. Unfortunately people can get hurt playing any sport - that's just a fact of life but the world would be a lot less fun to live in if no one ever took any such risks.Flag

Name: Jeffrey Cupido on Nov 11, 2007Comments: Lake Louise is known around the world for its snow, but, but also for its park. I live in Calgary, and i love Lake Louise, but i can only make it out there a couple times a month, so i snowboard at Canada Olympic Park alot. But Canada Olympic Park does not offer the size and range of jumps that i enjoy at Lake Louise, Please reconsider your choices, many, many people go to lake louise to train and ride your park, As it says on the back of the TICKET which you print and release, it is up to the ski/boarder to ensure they are properly trained to handle the terrain they are riding. This also includes the park, Instead of removing all jumps, start a program where you need to prove your skill level in the park, C.O.P (Canada Olympic Park) did this last year and it worked great. I can understand the liability as i have witnessed myself what problems inexperienced riders can cause, but C.O.P's plan worked out great, and you should seriously reconsider your choices.Flag
