| 551 | Anonymous | Let's get Sam back! Time for Lionel to take some time off and do some thinking. |
| 552 | Julie Turekl | |
| 553 | Michael Simpson | I used to listen to the entire day's lineup from work. I am now down to Randi Rhodes and Sam Seder one lousy day a week. I have moved over to Nova M Radio. Nova M carries Randi so now the only time I have to listen to AAR is when Sam is on. You are turning this into the pretend left station to advance some right wing agenda or something. Something is REALLY WRONG HERE. Good thing Nova M has also picked up Mike Malloy-you dipshits. |
| 554 | Juan Moreno | I agree with the letter above. I usually tune out till his so called show is over. I am tired of his annoying comments. He shoots down people who call in to voice their ideas. He portrays them as whackos. The next day he will use the same idea as his own. Lionel is a genius at saying almost nothing in a span of three hours. Please bring back Sam! |
| 555 | Erica Klusner | I think I speak for many when I say that we AAR listeners are upset and depressed at the state of the world. Sam Seder helped us bear the unbearable. Lionel is dark. His nasty diversions don't fool us and don't help us. We need more Sam. Please... |
| 556 | Olavi | I used to listen to podcast of sam every day from Helsinki Finland because he was the best ! I am an american living in Europe for past 8 years, since before Bush was elected, and Sam is voice of reason ! Please bring sam back ! |
| 557 | Jason Haack | |
| 558 | George Barrett | Enough of this foolishness! I've tried to listen to Lionel on more than a few occasions. He's silly, foolish and inane. I just don't bother anymore. I listened to Sam Seder loyally everyday. His show was fact based and very informative.
I've heard speculation that the powers that be thought Sam was too cerebral, what have you got against using higher mental functions? Please don't underestimate your audience, people that listen to Air America are clamoring for intellectual conversation and don't appreciate being insulted literally or figuratively with silly, frivolous chatter lacking sense or substance.
Bill Donohue? He's a perfect example of what is so wrong with the lionel show. How about someone a little less malevolent as a guest like Welton Gaddy, Barry Lynn, V Gene Robinson or maybe Thich Nhat Hahn. |
| 559 | Anonymous | Please bring Sam back to a regular weekday gig. Sam Seder just keeps improving all of the time as a radio host. He and Marc Maron are AAR's most talented and entertaining hosts. One of them does't even have a gig and the other is Sunday only. How about giving Sammy Lionel's slot and giving Maron Sammy's Sunday slot. |
| 560 | Anonymous | I have been listening to Air America since day one, sometimes all day long, as I work as an artist and have the "left" side of my brain available. When you removed Marc Maron I was very upset and missed that show which was perfect for the early morning-- a combo of humor and politics. Later you removed Sam Sedar who is wonderfully informative in a entertaining way, and replaced him with Lionel! I find Lionel totally unlistenable. He is obnoxious and talks about subjects for an hour in his "modules" whether the subject warrants it or not. Also the subjects he chooses to talk about and take up time with on the airwaves (in which we so need some progressive talk) is wasteful in this troubling time that we find ourselves.
I urge you to remove Lionel and bring back Sam. He is totally wrong for your station. I do not listen during that time slot anymore, I listen to Amy Goodman or to a music station. You're losing your devoted listeners!!! |
| 561 | JariL, Sweden | I hold my breath. . . Wish him back. |
| 562 | Renaud Pacoud | Michael LeBron is a disgrace to this station, send him back where he came from! |
| 563 | craig gent | You need to bring back Sam. YOu already made a mistake by getting rid of Mike Malloy. Al Franken is gone about all you have left that I listen to is Randi Rhodes.Bring back Sam and I will listen to AAR more. I got rid of saltelite radio when you guys took off Sam. |
| 564 | Anonymous | I couldn't agree more with this letter...Relagating a brilliant talent and sharp wit like Seder to Sunday's only, after he's proved himself for 3+ years, much less giving his daily 3hr spot to the incredibly annoying, barely talented, intentionally confusing and very UNfunny Lionel is a major slap in the face to your devoted listeners. Correction, previous listeners. How such a major programming blunder could be made is beyond me and the so-called genius behind such a move should be fired immediately. What are you people thinking?! Or not as the case may be...??! I don't know Seder from squat personally, but any half-wit could surmize his talents are 10X that of cruel, boring, and just plain rude Lionel after listening for only a month. I've given Lionel a very fair chance but simply can't and won't stomach him anymore. I once relished my 45 minute commute due to Sam, but now listen to anything but AA. Please come to your senses, admit you made a mistake, and bring back Seder to his daily time slot...or you've forever lost yet another avid and LONG TERM AA fan.
Thank you |
| 565 | Anonymous | I actually like Lionel a good deal, but Sam Cedar is superb and I don't see why you can't find a way to get him back on the air.
You fire Sam Cedar, Mike Malloy -- who's next, Randi?
Pretty soon we'll be calling you neo-liberal! |
| 566 | Michael Lefsky | As much as I love Rachel Maddow, I won't restart my premium membership until you re-hire Sam. |
| 567 | Anonymous | it is impossible to listen to this guy..i used to love to listen to Air America with my coffee..no longer..i can not listen to this person..it is like rubbing chalk the wrong way on a chalk board..and his content is even worse than his voice!!..oh and i have XM raido throughout my home and in my car..but it stays off until that horrible person is off air! |
| 568 | B. Watson | Please bring back an intelligent, entertaining host - Sam Seder. |
| 569 | Sherry Sutton | |
| 570 | Tim Oliveira | Lionel is an annoying putz, please get rid of him. |
| 571 | Anonymous | I was with AAR from day one, 8:00 AM-1:00 AM and I must say that I now only listen when Randi rhodes is on. Even the, I listen to her via NovaM.
Please get rid of Lionel and bring back Sam for a daily show and if you had any sense you would bring back Mike Malloy. |
| 572 | lorraine kodadekr | I am 82yrs old and love air america, but you took away my favorite and admired Sam
Seder. I now do not listen to
the am slot. Please bring
back Sam. That Lionel is
awful. |
| 573 | Anonymous | Please bring back Sam! The only one I listen to now is Thom Hartman. Lionel is useless and infuriating, so I don't listen to Air America during that time slot. Sam is the best! I'm still enjoying listening to his Sunday show, but he needs to be on again in his old slot. |
| 574 | Kristi Bauer | Please bring back Sam Sedar. I have completely quit listening in the morning! |
| 575 | John Hunt | Bring back Seder. Please for the love of all that's holy. |
| 576 | Nora Weidemann-Park | I've tried and tried to listen to the "Lionel Show" since it's on during my commute but it's just impossible to do so. To call this person annoying is a gross understatement. The whole lineup during the day stinks now - can you please at least give Rachel Maddow a slot during peak times ?? |
| 577 | Linda Findley | I di not like Lionel at all. Also do not like Ed Schultz. Never listen to XM in the ar until Randi.
Only listen to Hartmann on intermet radio before Randi. |
| 578 | Jill Best | Please, please, please get rid of this guy!!! Could you really find no better? I just gave up listening during my AM commute, but I really miss it! |
| 579 | James Walley | As long as Lionel is given the regular weekday morning slot, I'll be thankful that I can tune in to Stephanie Miller (a real progressive, and infinitely more entertaining) instead. Tough luck, AAR! |
| 580 | David White | |
| 581 | David White | |
| 582 | Anonymous | |
| 583 | Tom Crocker | |
| 584 | Anonymous | Please, please bring Seder back. I cannot stand the sound of Lionel's voice. |
| 585 | Jay Berman | Lionel is intolerant and annoying. Sam is one of the great talents in talk radio. |
| 586 | Anonymous | Every day I looked forward to hearing Sam Seder in the mornings. Now, all that is left is Rachael during the week and Sam Seder and Ring of Fire on the weekends. Otherwise, I go to NovaM Radio.
I guess AAR really DOESN'T want succeed!! |
| 587 | David Conley | Listening to Lionel is like drinking vinegar! YUM |
| 588 | Brett Alan Schneider | |
| 589 | Anonymous | I gave Lionel a chance but now I just turn the radio off when his show starts. |
| 590 | Kennith Holt | |
| 591 | Linda Boucher | Sam Seder is smart and entertaining. I really miss his weekday show. I also appreciate Lionel, but he can't compare to Sam. |
| 592 | K RODRIGUEZ | lionel is awful. bring back someone who can provide intelligent coversation. |
| 593 | Rune Fanger | |
| 594 | Juliet Stautner | Please bring more of Sam Seder during the week! He is right on target and exposes what is going on in for the public! Please, more of Sam Seder! |
| 595 | George Peterson | I used to subscribe to AA Premium. But once Sam Seder was cancelled I cancelled my membership. You clearly have no idea what you are doing. |
| 596 | Juan Salazar | Please bring back The Sam Seder Show and send Lionel Show to Fox. |
| 597 | Kenneth Glover | |
| 598 | Deborah C. Davis | I miss Sam in the morning. I understand the reason that AA doesn't want to invest a lot of effort into the 8-11 am time slot (Stephanie Miller Show kills the progressive competition), but I paid for the AA premium service for more than a yera just so I could listen to Sam's show. I miss Sam and I hope I am able to listen to him on a daily basis again soon. |
| 599 | Bob McCaffery | Lose Lionel. Bring Sam back. |
| 600 | Anonymous | Yeah. I would agree that Lionel is abrasive and probably a closet Republican. He's trashed everyone from African-Americans ( talks about how a noose nailed on TC Professor's door was not a hate crime ) to the homosexual community to even Al Gore's Noble peace prize. He's sarcastic, obnoxious and just rude. He's got a great future (if you think Don Imus, Michael Savage or Rush Limbaugh is great ). Is this corporate sabotage? hmmm.. Still AAR has Rachel and Thomm.. Thank GOODNESS!!!! |
