Name: Anonymous on Sep 2, 2010Comments: As a Phillies fan living in Maryland, I've gotten to watch many of Nationals games. Dibble is an enthusiastic guy, trying to bring more entertainment to the sport. If the rest of the color analysts were like him, there would be a heck of a lot more attention paid to baseball. I guess the part where he mentioned that he wasn' t a doctor and might be wrong is going on deaf ears? Last time I checked, being an analyst requires you to analyze what is going on in the game. With that, comes personal opinions...which is exactly what it was.Flag

I am not happy about his firing and I think he should be brought back. BRING BACK DIBBLE!!!!!!!Flag

Name: Joe on Sep 2, 2010Comments: One of the best baseball color men I have ever heard. His style wouldn't work on a national broadcast, but for Nats fans, Dibbs told it like it was - for better or worse. I'll miss him.Flag

Name: Charlene Fronczek on Sep 2, 2010Comments: Rob Dibble was a great addition to the Nationals! Bring him back - his comments weren't a negative attack but rather an observation and "thought" many of the fans had regarding the injury-laden Strasburgh!Flag

Name: Acta Maniac on Sep 2, 2010Comments: Dibble's firing is patently ridiculous. I don't agree with everything he said, but he was entertaining and always made the broadcasts interesting. I guess now they'll find some mealy-mouthed, "yes man" replacement from Namby-Pamby Land.Flag

Now, my friends and I (about 8 others) all have lost complete interest, and are not turning on another game. There's no more color - he was hilarious, down-to-earth, and passionate about his job. You guys showed how much of a sellout you are for "Tommy John" Strasburg.Flag

IF YOU IDIOTS THINK THIS PETITION MATTERS YOU ARE AS STUPID AS DIBBLE IS. THE MAJORITY OF FANS ARE GLAD TO SEE HIM GONE! THINK I'M SHOUTING? YES. I. AM.Flag

Name: J Thompson on Sep 2, 2010Comments: Rob's opinionated style was why I liked watching Nats games on MASN. He had his eccentricities, but he gave a perspective about the game that you don't hear from other colormen around the league. Besides, you can always learn more about the game of baseball, and nobody talks about pitching and the relationship between the pitcher and the rest of his team or with the opposing team like Rob did. You want to know why Nats hurlers have such high pitch counts so early in games? He would tell you why. And what is the deal about Strasburg that comments about him gets a commentator fired? We already have a really good face for the team: a guy who's earned a Gold Glove and a Silver Slugger the same year, and was runner up for Rookie of the Year, and HE was paid league minimum his first years on the team. A lot of us foresaw exactly this happening to Strasburg: he'd come in, throw hard (throw too hard, apparently?) for a few innings, and throw his arm out. For crying out loud, he played in TWELVE GAMES. And now, the Strasburg T-shirt I bought my infant son won't even fit him the next time Steven throws a pitch in the majors. Bring Rob back. I'm not going to threaten to boycott or not go to anymore games or not watch MASN or only watch it with the sound turned down - I'm a baseball fan - but Rob was a scrappy analyst for a good scrappy team. I had already missed him when he took those couple of games off, before they threw him out.Flag

Name: John Vanderpool on Sep 2, 2010Comments: The nationals are a bunch of hyper-sensitive school girls. So what if it was Strasburg. I'm done with the Nats until Dibbs is brought back. Now why don't you go buy every one in the Organization a Participation award for 5th place in the NL East again. Grow some Balls Kasten and Rizzo. The The sissification of America has begun. Your grandparents would be embarressed of you. John VFlag

Name: Tim Phares on Sep 3, 2010Comments: Rob Dibble is one of the most interesting baseball analysts I've heard in a long time. His unique viewpoint and his willingness to express it keep games interesting and they're one of the reasons I tune in. I like the fact that he's unconventional and outspken. I would like to see an interesting telecast next year, and that requires an interesting analyst, someone whose views you want to hear. Dibble is that guy. Please bring back Rob Dibble. I miss him already.Flag
