In a recent rash of suspensions across broadcasting networks, one of the most opinionated and, frankly, terriblly ignorant left wingers got caught up in the wash. Mr. Kieth Olberman. As much as I would like to celebrate the downfall of this icon of socialist dogma, I just can't, it flies in the face of everything that we stand for here. Censorship is simply not tolerable, and even though his removal is to my (Conservative) benefit it would be the height of hypocrisy to encourage this behaviour by networks. So i'm calling for a principled stand, to send a message. If We as conservatives are truly standing in defense of fundamental freedoms then the strongest message we can send is unifying when the system downs someone that we despise. To show that even when it is our opposition that is persecuted for his opinions we will rally to support our principles. It's easy to stand in defense of your friends and family, of your allies, and your supporters, but to raise a shield against oppression of fundamental freedoms, when the victim is one that makes his living condeming you. That is a true showing of integrity.
