Name: Guy Manchester on Nov 5, 2011Comments: Andy's one of the best dj's the bbc's ever aired. There are very few dj's around who play the variety of music he played. We all know how revered John Peel's style of dj'ing was, Andy is in the same mould except with a different set of regularly played from genres. Please reinstate this man to his former place on the bbc. I don't care whether it's R3, R2, R1 or 6 music, just get him back please.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Nov 5, 2011Comments: I heartily agree to the sentiments of this petition and I would be an eager new listener to his programmes. I've only had the privilege of listening to his radio 3 archives which I thoroughly enjoyed. It left me wanting more! Andy's unique talent should not be left to waste when he clearly has so much to offer.Flag

Name: Ann Marie Hayes on Nov 6, 2011Comments: Andy Kershaw should be reinstated post haste. There is no other presenter/DJ who can fill his boots, and there are no music shows currently on air which capture his passion and enthusiasm and championing of good music from any country, of any source, of any ilk. Andy may be opinionated, brash, arrogant, irritating - but he is also incredibly generous, knowledgeable, warm and loyal. We need his contribution to music to be recognised and for him to be reinstated. I really miss having him around. If nothing else, those mellifluous tones are a joy to hear.Flag

Name: Ian Anderson on Nov 7, 2011Comments: Neither of the 'b's in BBC stand for 'bland'. Which is probably why the bolshie blighter won all those Sony Awards for best broadcaster. He turned a generation on to great, otherwise unbroadcast music music and that music needs him back on the airwaves. Surely the BBC can handle a few grumpy but inspiring originals in order to fulfil its public service broadcasting remit?Flag
