In its heyday, Ebony Fashion Fair was one of the hottest tickets around. Beginning in 1956, the lavishly designed traveling fashion show hit the road with primarily black models, stylists, and makeup artists while also offering African-American communities the rare opportunity to witness international couture designs personally chosen by the late Eunice Johnson, the co-founder of Ebony magazine. In 2010, Ebony Fashion Fair was removed from the scene, for reasons many are not sure. We can't let such a historic and influential group be taken fro us forever. It's already hard enough to find healthy images of women in the fashion industry these days, especially Black women. Why would you want to let that go?
