The transit authority has officially committed to restoring bus service on Dundas Street West. This outcome serves as a quiet reminder of how much our daily needs matter when we speak up together. I encourage everyone to remain observant to ensure the service returns exactly as they promised.
We respectfully request the resumption of bus service on Dundas St.
West both during the winter months and during the ongoing water main
repair works on Dundas.
The cut in service that began in mid-November is based on the TTC
assumption that service in this area is LOW. This is not true, making it that much more important that we let the TTC know
this. The severity of the situation is that there is a possibility that the lack of service may go on until
fall of 2010!
The elderly and those with mobility
issues cannot make the trek up to College St. for transit service.
Businesses are significantly slower than usual and people with small
children and strollers will be having a hard time come snow fall...the
complete lack of TTC on Dundas St. West affects us all.

I have been hearing many stories from neighbors about the real challenges they face navigating this neighborhood without reliable transit. These accounts confirm that our needs are being overlooked by those who assume this route is unnecessary. I am currently compiling these experiences to present them directly to the authorities responsible for these changes.

The steady growth of this petition shows that our neighborhood refuses to be overlooked by transit planners. This momentum confirms that the struggle to reach essential services is a shared burden we must address together.
