Name: Anonymous on Dec 29, 2009Comments: Please, please, please bring Elixir back. It is 2009 and I still have found NOTHING to replace Elixir. If the problem was that it was going to cost more, Aveda has missed the boat on that one because the product was so good customers would have still bought it! I have never known a product that was so beloved be discontinued for what appears to be no good reason. Nothing, absolutely nothing - NOTHING - on Aveda's current shelves even comes close, believe me I have tried them ALL including the men's lines! The discovery of Elixir kept me coming back into Aveda stores and along the way purchasing many other products. However as time goes on and I lose hope of Elixir ever coming back I am drifting away from those products - all which are replaceable by other manufacturers. Only Elixir remains irreplaceable. PLEASE bring this product back. LISTEN to your loyal customers Aveda! I'm sure you have lost so many customers over this! As for Estee Lauder, I did not realise Aveda was bought out, however this seems to make sense if this was solely a bottom line decision. Aveda-Estee Lauder, please do something to prove you care for your customers and want to keep us (or bring us back) - simply bring Elixir BACK! Thank you! :0DFlag

What a shame...is an excellent product for curly, dry & unruly frizz. For those of you who are naturally curly and found Elixir the best thing since sliced bread, I feel for you.Flag

Name: Rosa Hendricks on Mar 10, 2010Comments: Smooth infusion style prep smoother is not a good product. It is not a patch on elixir, & not good value for money - indeed it is an insulting rip off. What horrible bland corporate responses Aveda has given in it's email responses. Poor literacy, too ("more superior", etc...) I have used Aveda products for years. I would use elixir if sense prevailed & it was brought back; however I don't like the cynical new age BS spouted by Aveda. If you want natural hair products there are some excellent lesser known German companies producing great products avaliable in most countries.Flag

Name: Coutman on Oct 21, 2010Comments: I miss the Elixir. Have not found anything comparable. If I stopped using to try something else, I always came back. Love the smell, what it did for my curls. It lasted a long time, because you did not need as much. Which is why I realized too late to stock up. this was a best seller, bring it back. People still do searches for this product. I am not watching a bottle of EBAY for $31. I have seen it going for more, what does this tell Aveda. You need to bring this product back. Did they not do research or ask the public for their opinion? Again, bring it back.Flag

Name: Lesa Heebner on Jan 9, 2011Comments: Please...I've tried dozens of products including what you say are your replacements, and none are as effective for my fine curly hair as your Elixir. I am saving what I have left for "red letter days"...Today was one and my hair looks sooooo dang good that I'm triply upset that you have not brought it back. What gives??? If the ingredients are expensive, then raise the price. Those of us who are begging you to bring it back will pay it! And if you have a problem bringing it back under your Aveda label, make it an Estee Lauder product. I don't care what the label, the bottle, the name....just give me my 20+year old friend back!Flag

Name: Robert Rowen on Nov 23, 2011Comments: I recently (10/2011) purchased a bottle on ebay for $110./8.5oz. Every time I do this, I swear to find a new product before I again run out. I haven't yet. The new stuff isn't close to the soft hold, and easy smell of Elixir. Be smart and make Elixir again.Flag
