This past Wednesday Time Warner customers in the Richlands Va market we informed that they would be losing WCYB an NBC station out of Bristol Va due to a FCC regulations and complaint by WVVA an NBC station out of Bluefield WV to remove the duplicate NBC programming from the market area. The removal of this channel has upset many in the Richlands Va area because WVVA doesnt cover alot related to the Richlands area as far as news and sports and another big issue is weather because WVVA broadcasts East of Richlands instead of West as WCYB does and most weather systems come from the West. Residents of this area have had access to both NBC feeds for close to 50 yrs and this is an unfair removal of this channel especially since no one in the area was even polled on the situation and received a 24 hour notice that the channel was goin to be removed. Please join in this fight and sign this petition which will be presented to WVVA,WCYB and the FCC.
