    Comments: The Camaro and Firebird( Trans Am ) have both been very important in the hot rodding culture, but each had its moment, or generation to shine. The Camaro was and still is the most popular of the two from the first generation(1967-1969) F-body platform. The Firebird and Trans Am was king of the 70-81 platform. For the 3rd and 4th generation, it depends on who you ask. To me the Firebird Trans Am was the most popular of the two F cars for the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th generation. I would also like to say that the Trans Am was the best selling car of the late seventies, and is probably the only thing that kept Pontiac alive in the '77 to '84 model years. Most of the other Pontiac cars of the time(Ex. Grand Prix) did not sell well than and I've only seen three or four as oppose to the thousands of Firebirds and Trans Ams I'v seen.

    Comments: as much as i am looking forward to the return of the Camaro, there would be nothing like buying a brand new Trans Am instead. I have owned both cars, and although i love Camaros, i have always felt that the Trans Am was the beefier of of two. Should the Trans Am be brought back, i would definetly buy that instead of the Camaro.

    Comments: The Trans Am comes back and I will fill out an order form as soon as they are available. Until then I will hold out for a preowned G8 GT, which is long off and GM will NOT get the sale of a brand new vehicle from me! I have purchased new twice from GM and will not do it again until they give their customers what they want!

    Comments: Smokey and the Bandit... Knight Rider... The stars were the cars and the car was the Trans Am. It is an American icon. On a personal level, the Trans Am has always been my all time favorite car. As a kid (and even today) when people would ask what was my dream car, I would tell them "A Pontiac Trans Am." Not a Ferrari, not a Lambourguini... A Trans Am. Please bring it back!!

    Comments: Nothing would make my day better than knowing the Trans Am family has a new addition. I love Trans Ams and Firebirds, probably to the point of fanaticism. On my eighteenth birthday (a short two years ago), I got my first tattoo, the trans am phoenix between my shoulder blades. My husband and I have three Firebirds between the two of us, and we are both looking forward to driving the brand new, fifth generation Trans Am.
