Name: Joe Wright on May 30, 2007Comments: I never really liked fords until I drove the svt contour and rode in a mustang svt cobra. I wanted another svt product after I got rid of the csvt but they dissolved the product line. I never bought fords before my contour and if I cannot have a svt I will go back to chevy. I do not want a plain jane gt mustang like everyone else. I would rather have a srt-4 neon to ripp them up with. Maybe you should give that little monster some FWD competition. You have a ss cobalt, srt4, then what from ford.....nothing. Thanks guyFlag

Name: J. Martin on May 30, 2007Comments: Dedication to high performance engineering should always be a priority for the world's best auto manufacturer. In addition to the return of SVT, I'd very much like to see a new Taurus SHO. While we're at it, lets bring back storied names like Cougar, Thunderbird, Comet. It wasn't that long ago that Ford was consistently hitting the ball out of the park. Time to do that again.Flag

Name: Mike Lafortune on May 30, 2007Comments: I bought an SVT Contour new in 2000 with the hopes of getting another SVT product (Cobra) in the future. The future is now and there is no SVT, thus I purchased a Mazdaspeed 6 (my first non-Ford vehicle) to quench my thirst for fun and exclusive automobiles, for now.Flag

Name: Alex Troiano on May 30, 2007Comments: As a car enthusiast, and former owner of an SVT contour, I obviously love quick cars. Though the performance of the SVT contour wasn't a HUGE improvement over the standard issue V6 manual, the letters SVT made all the difference. it didn't just say "speed" it said "I know what I've got, and I love it" SVT says exclusivity. Even thought there were many cars plenty faster than my SVT Contour, I felt I had more pride for my car than those drivers have for theirs.Flag

Name: Christina Conter on May 30, 2007Comments: SVT versions are built for the person who wants a performance based vehicle. Some of us really want the added performance, styling and handling that these limited production vehicles offer. I personally own 3 SVT Contours and I feel very special to have them. They arent your grandma's Contours and they are made for the us, the car enthusiast. I'd buy another SVT branded vehicle and probably would have if there was a SVT Fusion out right now. I cant be the only one who would immediately purchase it if they offered the car with the 3L and a manual transmission. I want a car that is fun to drive and has the extra bells and whistles that SVT can offer. If the Fusion was ever offered with the 3L and the manual transmission it would be SVT who could bring it into the market for us. There is a market out there of people like me we are waiting for vehicles like the Taurus SHO, Lighting, SVT Contour to come back. Please do something to retain the loyal following and to market to our demographic before some other company does. Not all of us can be sold by the new Mustang as the only option for a fun perfomance geared Ford vehicle when looking to purchase in the near future.Flag

Name: Jonathan Ward on May 31, 2007Comments: I got on the SVT bandwagon a little late. As my first car, I bought a used '98 Contour GL in 2004 with 180k miles on it and enjoyed it... however, in late 2005, I finally bought a used '99 SVT Contour and LOVED it. I still do, and I intend to keep this car, well, forever. Even so, I do intend to purchase another vehicle within the next 2 or 3 years... and I'd love for it to be another Ford SVT vehicle.Flag
