Recently, Trader Joe’s has opened locations in Rochester and Albany, New York. Syracuse, lying directly between these cities, would make an excellent location for the next upstate Trader Joe’s store. Demand is high for a Trader Joe’s store by the residence in the Syracuse area. Being centrally located within New York State, Syracuse is a hub for in-state travelers as well as those travelers coming from Canada. The recent expansion and renaming of the Carousel Center to Destiny USA has only increased the out of area visitors. These travelers would increase the foot traffic of a Trader Joe’s store in the Syracuse market.
