For a long time the television genre known as Tokusatsu over in Japan (Super Hero Live action shows) has had a large following on the internet, built of Fans that are located in other Countries. Until now the only way fans of these shows could gain access to them was through questionable means. In Japan, the famous hour of Tokusatsu known as "Super Hero Time" as well as other Tokusatsu shows are as easy access to as turning on the televison. However, in the US and other countries watching Toku isn’t quite that simple.

Previously, Toku shows have been a few clicks away on our computer screen, with wonderful fansubs uploaded to various websites. There were several streams and downloads at every toku fan’s disposal. But now, these websites are being taken down. Sharing function is being disabled. The shows we all love are being pulled away from us. How are we supposed to watch our Sentai save the world if they can’t be uploaded anymore? Where can we watch if there are no legal streams or downloads?

This is why we’re petitioning Crunchyroll.com to add Tokusatsu shows to their catalog. A subscription to Crunchyroll is about 7 dollars a month. Sure, a monthly fee can be painful, but isn’t that much better than potentially losing access to Toku altogether?

Crunchyroll adding Tokusatsu could mean big things toward stopping piracy. By paying a monthly fee, you’re supporting the shows you watch. That money will benefit something. There will finally be a place we can watch our favorite shows legally. By signing this petition, you’re putting us one step closer to a legitimate website for Toku, and in great quality too.

Spread the word, post on forums, Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook, anywhere you can think of to help get the word out. Let’s give Toku a real home, and keep it alive outside of Japan.

*Since this petition was first written, a very popular website that hosts Toku shows took down all their download links. We are seriously in danger of losing all access to them. Some people could only use that website, and now downloading is gone. The more people see this the better. Please, spread the word!
