For all of those who love the Star Wars Universe, in all its odd completion. Why not bring the EU into Canon and allow it to continue and be validated?

What I am proposing is Disney, if they are willing to do so, creates alternate story arcs, much like what they do in their Marvel properties. When changes to an established story are made through a "re-boot" the old is not simply thrown out, but clearly defined as two separate entities.

This actually allows Disney to make money from a (potentially) expanding EU and another continuity without stepping on each others' toes, thereby doubling their potential profits, and opening up increased friendly debate amongst the community on the finer details of these universes.

To clearly define the boundaries of these two story arcs I am proposing:

A "Classic Era" or "Classic Arc" containing Star Wars 1-6 and the previous EU, plus potential expansions.

In addition there would be a "Modern Era" or "Modern Arc" containing Star Wars 1-6, The Clone Wars Animated Series, Episodes 7-9+ and any additional expansions.
