Six years ago, every Monday for two months I would sit down on the couch in my den and watch The Cape. I loved it all - the hero, the villains, the mystery, the music, the humor and the action. It was my obsession until episode ten, the final episode, was released online and I finally watched it weeks after it was long over.

Sadly, The Cape wasn't fated to take off like Arrow did only a year later. Arrow, which brought to life DC Comics' Green Arrow, has proven to have a much larger lifespan than perhaps anyone could have guessed, spawning two spin-offs, a web series, and defining itself as the center of the powerhouse "Arrowverse."

One of Arrow's more memorable feats took place in its fourth season, where it brought Matt Ryan's Constantine back from the TV series crypt for one more outing as the exorcist, demonologist, master of the dark arts. This, coupled with the recent news of Young Justice's season 3, has got me thinking that maybe this isn't so crazy a pipe dream as I previously had.

I'm not sure what kind of things need to be said or done to get The Cape (who is not on the CW or a DC character) onto a show like Arrow, nor do I even know if anybody remembers him, but I never thought I'd see Spider-Man swing around Giant Man while the rest of the Avengers traded blows either. That is to say, I don't mind putting some faith into the notion of one day seeing Vince Faraday shake hands with Oliver Queen.
