Name: Mike Hartshorne on Jun 26, 2012Comments: We are probably the fastest growing community in the west shore, and are growing quickly! We are surrounded by bus service, but don't yet have access within our neighborhood itself. GIven the fact that well over One thousand people are living in the area now, with hundreds more coming by the end of the year and more commercial/service is currently under construction, it's surprising there isn't yet public transit service here. Looking forward to seeing more options for my neighbors.Flag

Also, any other transit solutions need to take into account transportation needs into Victoria, to U-Vic and other common destinations with vehicles that use energy sources that do not burn fossil fuels.Flag

Name: Kim Daniels on Jul 4, 2012Comments: I don't normally mind the walk down in the morning to the exchange to catch the bus, but on days it is raining or I am running late, it would be amazing to have a closer bus route!!! Also, my husband has severe back problems, and he can not use transit because of the long walk.Flag

Name: Tina Clark on Jul 5, 2012Comments: We have lived in Westhills since December 2010. During this time we have been negatively affected by lack of transit available to Westhills residents. This is a young neighborhood, promoting green initiatives with limited street parking. We have considered downsizing to one vehicle to limit our carbon footprint, but the lack of regular, reliable transit makes this an impossibility. We also have a Special Needs tenant who at times must walk long distances in the dark due to the lack of transit. I have noticed a wealth of young working people as well as teenagers who likely would utilize a transit system if made available. The continual growth of this development and pending town centre requires access to public transit. Please let's make this happen and lessen the burden on our environment!Flag

Name: Bonnie Mutter on Jul 9, 2012Comments: not all the residents are young and some seniors that no longer drive would benifit. Also for non residents who will want to visit or use the planned facilities or shop in the planned village. As long as the buses are not the large buses but the community buses and trolly would be ideal.Flag
