The undersigned request that KISD provide bus routes to all KISD students reinstating 2011 guidelines. The undersigned believe that the current allocation of buses and routes jeopardize the health, welfare and safety of KISD students. The undersigned request that KISD consider raising bus driver compensation to meet the demand for additional bus drivers as opposed to eliminating or reducing services.
im still reading all your emails about how hard these routes are making things for your families. ive been working on getting a meeting with the district office to show them exactly how big this problem has become. they cant keep ignoring us when so many people are speaking up.

i honestly cant believe how fast this is growing. seeing so many people speak up about the routes confirms that we are definitely on the right track.

Between January 1, 2009 and December 31, 2011 there were 168 (one hundred and sixty eight) bicycle and pedestrian collisions on major streets within the Safe Routes to School zones of San Juan Unified School District.

I have to beg different people everyday for a ride to and from school for my daughter this is so unfair that a parent have to beg for a ride just to attend school,, it's more than 2 miles like they state.. Then to find out some bus drivers are letting some kids 'slide" by letting them get on the bus just ridiculous

Ridiculous that they cut the service while the budget for administration is up. Pay the drivers so we can get our kids off the side of the road.

my son has to walk next to the main highway just to get to class while it is still dark out. its not safe at all and the district needs to pay drivers enough to get the routes back.
