Jessica's Law is focused on making sure that predators who rape children receive a sentence for their crime of no less than 25 years. To this date, all but 5 of the 50 US states of some form of this law. Unfortunately, Colorado is one of these. With laws on the book that carry only a maximum of 10 years, the most common sentence is 2 years. This includes predators who have raped multiple children, or have multiple counts of rape on asamechild over a series of year.
