Comments: Why remove one of the greatest and easiest ways to play music? I used it everyday.. And removing the function to "Play higher rated songs more often" made no sense. I loved iTunes DJ!!!

Comments: Used DJ all the time. Apple didn't even have the courtesy to mention they were removing it, or add a Help note about (partially) replacing it with UpNext. Guess nobody at Apple was aware of the feature :-)

Comments: Yup, had to get rid of 11.0 immediately and find a 10.7 installer. iTunes DJ is the only reason to even bother rating music. The ratings serve no purpose in any other part of the app. iTunes DJ let you have a random stream constantly playing, and play higher-rated songs more often. My music library screen states I have 14832 items, 44.5 days, 93.16 GB of music. Every single one is rated according to how often I want to hear that song relative to others. And that's only because of iTunes DJ. I've got at least another 75 GB of music I haven't imported into iTunes yet, because I simply haven't had the time to import and properly tag and rate it all. It has taken me over 4 years of spare time here and there to get as far as I have with importing my music. Unless Apple brings back iTunes DJ with all features intact I will be forever using 10.7, as it is the only way I listen to music at home. "Play higher rated songs more often" is an absolute necessity for my listening. It gives me a mix I like to hear. And with all that time invested in making that feature work that way, there's no way I'm just going to abandon it because some people at Apple had no clue what the feature even offered. And I didn't even touch on the Remote app and requesting/voting via it. Every feature of iTunes DJ needs to be brought back, exactly as it is in 10.7, except for the bug that sometimes stops the list from updating. They can go ahead and fix that, haha.

Comments: Removing iTunes DJ and Cover Flow in iTunes 11 were huge mistakes. iTunes 11 is a totally dumbed-down version of iTunes. I mean you can't even open multiple windows anymore. iTunes has been reduced to a single-window modal application, with the really cool signature features and functionality removed. Apple what are you doing? Please undo the damage you have done to what is likely your most important and widely-used application that ties your entire ecosystem together. I have gone back to iTunes 10.7 on my Mac and that's where I'm going to stay until you bring back the missing features. That means I won't be allowing any upgrades on my iPhone 4S, numerous iPads, and Apple TV because I don't want to lose 10.7 compatibility. It also means I won't be buying an iPhone 5 which I was planning to do before iTunes 11 was released.
