ElecTRONica was a night-time outdoor electronic music event held from 2010 to 2012 at Disney's California Adventure Park in Anaheim California. ElecTRONica was themed after the films TRON and TRON: Legacy and featured a live DJ spinning electronic music as well as an arcade featuring retro games and even live dancers and a laser light stage show. In April of 2012 Disney's California Adventure replaced their popular night time entertainment event ElecTRONica with the Mad Tea Party. While Mad Tea Party is great in its own right, ElecTRONica gained quite a loyal following during its run who were saddened to see its departure. Night-time events such as ElecTRONica and Mad Tea Party are not present at Disney's east coast Walt Disney World parks. Currently there are several sites on property that ElecTRONica could easily fit into: un-used space at Pleasure Island, the Streets of America backlot in Hollywood Studios, or the area outside of 'Forty Thirst Street' in Downtown Disney all spring to mind. The purpose of this petition is to bring to the attention of the Disney Parks division that people are interested in them bringing parties like (and specifically) ElecTRONica to the Walt Disney World parks in Orlando. Right now all of the ElecTRONica props and sets have been presumably boxed up and aren't being used. It is our feeling that the TRON franchise can be used in the East Coast parks as an experience that isn't offered currently by Disney or other parks in the area.
