Sister Gwen Roomes came to Sheffiled in 2002 to help fill a shortfall in teachers. Sister Roomes is a good teacher who taught in some of the worst schools in Sheffield. Later Sister Roomes became well known in Sheffield city centre where she would play the guitar and Evangelise. Since entering the UK Sister Roomes has co operated fully with the Home Office. However on Thuraday 8th March Sister Roomes was detained by the Home office. In the early hours of Tuesday 13th March Sister Roomes was transferred from a detention centre in Manchester to Yarls wood detention centre near London. In the early hours of Friday 16th March Sister Roomes was moved to a Detention centre at Heathrow Airport. At 12:10 Sister Roomes was deported. This is a 59 year old Scholl Teacher who was humiliated, deprived of sleep, her health suffered as a result. In Jamaica she is passed the retirement age so can not work. Her sons and grandchildren are in Sheffield. Sister Roomes belomgs here in Sheffiled. So I urge you to sign the petition to bring back Gwen
