Comments: I hate Nickmom. I PAY for a channel where I can put on age appropriate shows WHENEVER I want! Who are you to decide when I put my child to bed? And you know what, sometimes little ones wake up in the middle of the night and familiar shows help them calm down. Especially since so many totally INAPPROPRIATE things are on Nickmom. I want child programming, not terrible mothers complaining about how much they hate their kids as they drink margaritas at 9:30 on a weeknight, talks about busboys and their assets, or anything of a sexual nature. I do not watch this crap, I will not watch it and Nick should be completely ASHAMED of themselves for even doing this.Flag -

Name: Anonymous on Jan 20, 2013Comments: my 3-yr-old twin granddaughters have learned so much watching Nick Jr. When their mom is busy elsewhere, they watch Dora, Kai-an, Diego, etc. They have learned shapes, colors, counting, etc. This has always been a very educational channel for preschoolers. Until now - at 7pm pacific time - they bring on this garbage called 'Nick Mom'. When it first started we watched about 5 minutes to see what it was. Foul language, so called comedians telling jokes about stuff I won't repeat - you might as well have Richard Pryor or Eddie Murphy doing a comedy show, it's that foul. Why would you do this to a programming lineup that has been advertised for children? This is giving the preschoolers the kind of 'education' they will get eventually by going to public school, but they shouldn't have it this early. When NickMom comes on, the girls start crying because they don't like it. Why is it that society today (which includes the TV networks) thinks that they need to put this garbage where children can see it? We don't even watch Network TV anymore because of what is on it - looks like we will need to stop watching "children's" TV also.Flag

And my children get upset when they have to turn off the TV on nights they can stay up late because there isnt anything on tv for them. Yes my kids play outside all afternoon and usually only get to watch TV after dinner and before bedtime! On the weekends this horrible programming comes on when they could be watching Dora or Max and Ruby but now we turn the TV off and watch Disney movies. I wont support a channel that has this on it. Sorry but I wont support a channel that is supposed to be for kids and shows programming like this. I'm also appalled that Target supports this as well.Flag

I have tried for the last couple of months to ignore it and make sure the TV is off or on another channel before it starts. But they advertise it continually throughout the day and I am tired of seeing the commercials and having my 4 year old see the commercials for it as well. There are too many other options out there then to try to work around "NickMom", so I am actively in the process of having it dropped from our plan. It's a shame that something sweet and innocent, designed just for our little ones, couldn't be left alone.Flag

Name: Catherine Dicken on Jan 28, 2013Comments: I have always been a fan of Nick Jr. I loved that no matter what time of day, I could turn on a program that was educational, entertaining and comforting to my child; even when she is up all night with a fever. But that all changed one morning when I hit "play" on my DVR to entertain my 3 year old with one of her favorite shows previously recorded from the night before as I went into the kitchen to make breakfast. My head immediately peaked back into our family room when I heard 2 women discussing their need to get laid and desire for orgasms. I thought my daughter must have gotten her hands on the remote and was for sure playing with the buttons to change the channel; but I was wrong. It was in fact a Nick Jr recording. I was stunned. That night I tuned in to see what the hell this stupidity was about and I heard words like "bitch", "ass", "tits", and "whore". I was nauseated. I understand the idea may have come from good intentions to give moms a much deserved break; however the previous Nick Jr programming allowed me more of a break since I could turn it on and occupy my child at any needed moment without worrying what she was watching. I'm so disappointed with Nick. We have switched to Disney Jr.Flag
