My kids have had Nick J.R. playing in their rooms 24 hours a day since my oldest was just shy of a year old, because - until now - I could trust that they would learn something no matter when they actually watched the T.V.. To tell the truth, I was right, because both kids now know how to count to at least 50, they know all their colors, they know their alphabet, and I find out new and amazing things that they have learned with every passing day.

 My youngest child - born in 2008 - won't sleep unless her favorite shows are on. When she's not playing with her brother, her mother, uncle, or I, she's watching and actively interacting with Nick J.R.. Then, on Monday the first of October of 2012, everything changed with the introduction of "Nick Mom". Come to find out that this new "Nick Mom" block of programming on this supposed "preschool on TV" channel has become a perverted block that no parent should risk their kids waking up to! I - in just 20 minutes of watching it - actually heard references to condoms, french kissing, prostitution, as well as the words "bitch" and "hell". Not to mention, I later heard "ass" as well.

 I'm not a fan of censorship, but this type of programming has no place on a channel that was initially intended to be aimed at educating kids!!! Sure, one could elect to just switch to a different channel like Disney J.R. or Sprout, but not everyone - including myself - has those channels. Sign this petition now to demand that Nickelodeon restore the old programming or else risk losing you and your family as viewers!!
