In order to compete with "Adult Swim" in the early 2000s, cable network TNN, decided to make an animation block for adults, broadcasting brand new cartoons, but for adults only. The cartoons including: "Stripperella", "Gary the Rat", and "Ren and Stimpy's Adult Party Cartoon".

All did successfully in ratings, excluding "Gary the Rat". However, Spike decided to drop the animation block, when "Naked Beach Frenzy" was banned altogether, due to a fear about the FCC complaining about it and censoring it, because they were becoming a lot stricter in terms of television broadcasting rules.

However, now is 2012, almost 2013, and we believe that things have quietened down over time, and that TV has started to become edgier and crass again, and what would be the perfect opportunity?! For Spike to revive their animation block, and why?!

"The Strip" was going to be revolutionary. It was a chance for people to showcase their newly-found talent, without avoiding censorship issues. It, along with "Adult Swim", was a groundbreaker and showed the world that animation is not a kids medium.

We feel now is the perfect time to get this block up and running. Perhaps, bring back "Ren and Stimpy", as there are much more raunchier shows out there now, and renew "Stripperella" for a second season. As well as acquire "Beavis and Butt-Head" and "Good Vibes", as MTV has shown that they have no interest in either show. So, why not broadcast it on your block?!

There are many young animators out there today, and they will be more than itching to pitch a show on your block. If Toonami came back, I don't see why "The Strip" shouldn't.
