The schools need to teach respect as well as history.children learn better in environments of respect. Taking away prayer and pledge of allegiance was instigated by a few radical mothers and was pushed into law through the back door using the supreme court as a battlefield for their agenda pushing it on all of us who never got a voice in the matter. I believe it's time for us to stand up for our beliefs also, if its fair to teach Islam in school then the God of Christianity and the truth of our forefathers beliefs in a God fearing america should also apply. Trying to change the history books is appalling! Taking out pledge of allegiance to our country is taking away a belief in respect,honor,and goodwill towards your neighbor. I believe people who sign this petition would include all of those whose voice didnt get heard, and were directly affected by this change. No matter what your religion, you should be faithful to a few standing rules of decent respect. The pledge of allegiance should remind kids that yet we are free to respect others, our country, ourselves. Our freedom came at a great cost, and respect for those people who fought for it and still fight for it today,should be included in the academic arena. I plan on giving this petition to the supreme court in DC, and to senator Feinstein, and to the congressman of california, and the Governor of california.
